Bambarakanda & Lanka Ella Waterfalls

Bambarakanda, the highest waterfall in Sri Lanka with the height of 263 metres and elevation of 1100 metres, lies in Kalupahana in the Badulla district. The waterfall can be found amidst a forest of pine trees. The path to the waterfall is well-maintained with steps and an easy trek of about 15 minutes takes you to its base. A seating area and basic changing facilities make it a good option to jump in and take a waterfall bath in the cool fresh water or simply enjoy the views with a picnic basket.

Further on,  enjoy the enchanting views of Lanka Ella which is one of the few waterfalls unspoiled by human activity due to it’s secluded location. Just 32 metres in height and located about 1km away from Bambarakanda waterfall. Enjoy the unique and mesmerizing view of five cascading waterfalls in one single setting that joins together from three different provinces Uva, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces.
